The point here is that quotes which question the intellectual honesty of people who disagree with you are generally not a gateway to open dialogue.

But aren’t we all prejudiced, slanted in some way?
Certainly, but doesn’t mean we are condemned to continue thinking in such a way. I do believe it is possible to approach issues with an open mind and fight our prejudices with factual evidence. I would venture a guess that this section of your blog (“To the Skeptic”) would not even exist unless you sincerely believed that you had examined the evidence and found the truth.
