Not Sweet: Limas Sweed is Out for the Year

A mediocre season takes another bad turn for the Texas Longhorns.

“Longhorns lose Sweed: Wide receiver to have season-ending wrist surgery”

Well in all fairness, he hasn’t been much of a factor (b/c of the injury?) so maybe Nate Jones and Quan Cosby can step it up. Can John Chiles play receiver?

Well I suppose there’s always Jermichael Finley…

I don’t know what to do with Limus. He has possibly the greatest catch in UT history, yet is probably one of the most underachieving WR’s in our history. I can’t even count the games where he would disappear. He had 6 inches on every corner he faced. He seems like a good kid. Caught a ton of TD’s. I feel bad he has to end it all with an injury.

How high do you think Sweed will go in next year’s draft?

  3. Jason says:

Is he even an NFL player? I would guess second day for sure…..probably one of the later rounds. It wouldn’t suprise me to see him go 1st round or not get drafted at all. I have no feel for it.
