UTter Domination, Texas out-OU’s Oklahoma

Well, maybe not for 4 quarters, but my Longhorns took care of business this past weekend against the hated Oklahoma Sooners. What is in the past (5 year losing streak) is in the past and a new era in the Red River Rivalry begins.

The first half was a bit exciting, more exciting than I could handle. UT won this game last year but this year was different because neither team was the clear cut favorite. Props to Colt McCoy (UT quarterback) for keeping his cool and making some sweet throws into some tight spots. The best part was when interviewed at the end of the game before a national TV audience, McCoy gave glory to God for putting him in that position.

I think my gameball goes to the hard hittin’ Texas secondary who dished out bone-jarring hit after bone-jarring hit on the Sooners, and in the process causing a couple of fumbles (for an example see below). Then there’s Texas cornerback Aaron Ross who was a beast(8 tackles, 2 interceptions, a fumble return for a touchdown). So maybe Colt isn’t putting up great numbers (only 11-18 for 108 yards, but 2 TDs) but that Texas D looks tough.

(Yes, this is the infamous picture of the young Sooner who cries because his team is frankly not that good, aka the OU crying kid, oklahoma sooner crying kid)

Thanks Allison for your comment… I find such comment curious given your email adress: peace.love.allisonn@*****

By the way, there are no illegitimate children only bad parents.

I hope you left a similar comment on every blog that posted the very same picture.

Crying because your team loses is pretty personal isn’t it?

Take the skirt off and end the tea party

  4. Laz says:

Yeah bob, gotta hand it to Sooner fan…

  5. Jaxkson says:

This kid is my best friend he wasn’t crying at the game he was crying because his dad was mad at him

    Yeah, that’ll do it.

Still doesn’t change the fact that it’s December 19, 2008 and OU still sucks

  6. Doug says:

Yeah Im a Sooner fan and I was at that game. That kid was crying because we lost and it was annoying. He kept turning to his dad or older brother (Dont know which one it was) and screaming “Why are they doing this.” Dude it was annoying.

  7. Laz says:

OK, so can we meld the 2 eyewitness accounts and re-enact the events that transpired?

Little Billy is upset that his Sooners are losing and starts crying. He keeps asking his dad(but since we’re talking about OU, let’s assume that his dad is his brother) why they’re losing and his dad loses it causing little Billy more anguish.

No matter what happened, OU still sucks.

  8. Jonah says:

    Hey, I’m that kid.
I was not crying because we lost.
It was because my dad go me in trouble for being annoying.
    I do have a life.
And Doug that is the most B.S. I have ever heard….
    so ya, thanks

    • Laz says:

Thanks Jonah for dropping in. Of course you have a life, dead people don’t/can’t reply to blog posts.

Sorry you had a rough go during that game. Btw, OU still sucks.

  9. Jonah says:

Way to be a smart ass….
    btw, got 7?

    • Laz says:

No, no no. You see, you can’t appeal to the annals of history when UT owns OU head-to-head all-time (59-40). If you want to claim history, then there is the scoreboard (59-40). Hope Bradford does well in the NFL, he seems like a good guy, too bad Stoops ruined his last season in Norman.

  10. Jonah says:

no, stoops did not hurt him… we have seven national championships, we got done with winning 3 big 12 championships in a row, yall cheated yours, apparently colt doesnt know how to keep time… we are statistically the best college football team of all time. how did yall do against bama, i forgot? austin is the second gayest city in the united states… we dont make fun of two little kids for crying… may i remind you that yall had a grown woman cry on tv.. btw your losing an argument with a 14 year old. congrats.

Hey, Jonah, why argue with idiots, just sayin!!

  12. Me says:

Idiots with NO life, I might add. And love the Christian stuff!! Way to be a Christian! Shame on you!

A bit judgmental are we, certainly right up there with the best (or worst) of the fundamentalists. They do take out all the fun out of fundamentalist.

Btw, there will always be good-natured ribbing b/w the UT and OU fanbases. It’s called a rivalry and I’m sorry you can’t understand that. We do try to keep it civil.

  13. Laz says:

Jonah (if you truly are who you claim to be),
I see that you’ve made the rounds at some of the UT blogs,

    Sobbing Sooners

Though I’m not sure if you’re passing off as 2 people (Jonah/Me) over there as you are over here.

Thanks to an ABC cameraman (and the blogosphere), you are now part of UT-OU lore. As is the other crying OU kid and the crying OU band girl.

Like I told your alter ego (“Me”), though UT and OU are “bitter” (relatively speaking) rivals, we do try to keep things civil.

There will be people on both sides who will not, but that is to be expected, no matter what rivalry we’re talking about.

Learn to relax and roll with the punches and don’t grow up to be like the knuckleheads found on both sides of this rivalry who take things way too seriously.

That said, OU still sucks and Hook ’em Horns.

    Best of luck.

  14. Jonah says:

I’m not “me”, but i do know who wrote that, very well, were related. They wrote that because they didn’t want there name on the internet… and i am that kid. I’m just tired of getting crap at school and the internet. If I knew how to get that picture off i would. But i don’t know. I apologize for the things above^. But put yourself in my shoes and see how hard it is to deal with these people.

  15. Jonah says:

im not really related to that person…. hehe
