What would happen if…?

So I violated Henry’s advice for a 2nd straight post and here we are:

what-would-happen250.JPG

This was taken in NYC yesterday at that city’s “The World Can’t Wait” protest. Regardless of what one thinks of Mr. Bush and/or Mr. Chavez, I propose a few questions:

What if the inverse was enacted? What if the girl was in Caracas holding a sign that read “Viva George W. Bush, Venezuelan Patriot” and wearing a shirt that had a pic of Chavez, labelling him “International Terrorist”? Would the Chavez government be accommodating to this display?

The girl in the pic must be rotting in jail somewhere since we are led to believe that we live in a country being run by a fascist government, and as far as I know these type of governments don’t take well to criticism.

UPDATE (10/09/06): Apparently protests against Chavez are allowed in Venezuela, click here to read article.

Physical and verbal opinion freedom is a mirage that is used to divert attention to the unseen chains that bind the souls of unregenerate sinners, both Republican and Democrat, Venezuelan and American, or Monarchy and democracy. Nationalism, forms of government, moral issues, et. al., are poor players who strut and fret their hours on the stage, only to be seen no more…a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the Word of the Lord endures forever.
