Allergic to Truth

In his weekly column, Cal Thomas explores the latest decree from the newly appointed bishopess of the Episcopal Church USA.

Of note is the passage from 2 Timothy Ch. 4, which Thomas references:

"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine, instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn away from the truth and turn aside to myths." (vv.3-4)

I think CS Lewis called this phenomenon, 'Christianity-and-water,' meaning a diluted form of Christianity. Flexing and adapting the Gospel to popular thought and culture, yep this is the way to do it, allright…

  1. Excellent analysis… short and to the point. I tend to be a little long winded at times.
