First Father’s Day

Our son is now 5 months old, so I have been a father for 14 months (counting his womb time.)  I have survived my first Father's Day, well how about thoroughly enjoyed?  Becoming a parent has been a wonderful experience, there might be some that might disagree but these will be mostly those who don't have children or don't plan on having children.

Parents, is there anything better than to hear your child's first fits of laughter?  Well maybe his first steps or first words, but we're not there yet.  I'll enjoy his laughter for now, boy we had him going today.  Must have laughed for 5 minutes straight, we caught some of it on video.

To all the dads out there, Happy Father's Day, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed it.

  1. This was my first fathers day as well. My son is now 6 months old and has mastered the ability to grab whatever is on the dinner table and throw it onto the floor when I hold him while eating dinner. Funny how things like that seem to be so cute when it is your child.

The fits of laughter are another little miracle of being a parent. Its amaizing how you instantly stop what you are doing and run into the room when you hear your child laughing.

Dirty diapers and midnight feedings are nothing… being a parent ROCKS!!!
