Interesting commentary from Dr. Albert Mohler,
The Awkward Irony of the Atheist Sunday School
Here’s the last paragraph,
In a strange way, the rise of atheist Sunday Schools illustrates the central dilemma of atheism itself. Try as they may, atheists cannot avoid talking about God — even if only to insist that they do not believe in Him. [...]

Often the charge is levied at religious people (in America it’s Christians since it is, on the surface, the prevalent faith) that they are self-righteous prigs who like nothing better than to impose their morality on everyone else and sapping the “fun” of out of everything. Sometimes the accusation is justified albeit for the [...]

This is from R.C. Sproul’s “What is Reformed Theology? Understanding the Basics”,
We frequently hear evangelical Christians say that their non-Christian friends are “seeking God” or “searching for God.” Why do we say this when Scripture so clearly teaches that no unregenerate person seeks after God?
Thomas Aquinas observed that people are seeking happiness, peace, [...]

There is something to be said for making empty boasts (what other kind is there?) regarding one’s beloved college football team.
I remarked to an Aggie co-worker back in August that my ‘Horns were going to “kill” her Aggies come the day after Thanksgiving.
Boy is my face red (maroon?). Before making such a dumb statement [...]

My wife and I have much to be thankful to God for not just on this day but every day. For our salvation, for our wonderful marriage, for the opportunity to raise our son. We recognize that these blessings are not to be taken for granted but are gifts from the Father of [...]

King Juan Carlos of Spain had the chutzpah to do what many have wanted to do, tell Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to “shut up”. I believe the King’s exact words were “¿Por qué no te callas?” [Why don't you shut up?]
Look, I’m not advocating for this kind of outburst even if someone has it [...]

Mike Libecki is a rock climber who according to this story, “is on a one-man quest to conquer remote lands untouched by humans.”
Caught the piece on Nightline a few minutes ago and was fascinated by the incredible footage Mr. Libecki filmed as he climbs.
From the report,
He is drawn to extreme climbing not only as a [...]

This is a poem by British journalist Steve Turner (emphasis mine)
Creed
We believe in Marxfreudanddarwin.
We believe everything is OK
as long as you don’t hurt anyone,
to the best of your definition of hurt,
and to the best of your knowledge.
We believe in sex before, during, and
after marriage.
We believe in the therapy of sin.
We believe that sodomy’s OK.
We believe [...]

Saw the following headline at the Drudge Report,
“Saudi punishes gang rape victim with 200 lashes”
As I read the story my Western mind was taken aback by some of what I was reading,
The 19-year-old woman — whose six armed attackers have been sentenced to jail terms — was initially ordered to undergo 90 lashes for “being [...]
