UTter Domination, Texas out-OU’s Oklahoma

Well, maybe not for 4 quarters, but my Longhorns took care of business this past weekend against the hated Oklahoma Sooners. What is in the past (5 year losing streak) is in the past and a new era in the Red River Rivalry begins.

The first half was a bit exciting, more exciting than I could handle. UT won this game last year but this year was different because neither team was the clear cut favorite. Props to Colt McCoy (UT quarterback) for keeping his cool and making some sweet throws into some tight spots. The best part was when interviewed at the end of the game before a national TV audience, McCoy gave glory to God for putting him in that position.

I think my gameball goes to the hard hittin’ Texas secondary who dished out bone-jarring hit after bone-jarring hit on the Sooners, and in the process causing a couple of fumbles (for an example see below). Then there’s Texas cornerback Aaron Ross who was a beast(8 tackles, 2 interceptions, a fumble return for a touchdown). So maybe Colt isn’t putting up great numbers (only 11-18 for 108 yards, but 2 TDs) but that Texas D looks tough.

    Yeah, that’ll do it.

Yeah Im a Sooner fan and I was at that game. That kid was crying because we lost and it was annoying. He kept turning to his dad or older brother (Dont know which one it was) and screaming “Why are they doing this.” Dude it was annoying.

OK, so can we meld the 2 eyewitness accounts and re-enact the events that transpired?

Little Billy is upset that his Sooners are losing and starts crying. He keeps asking his dad(but since we’re talking about OU, let’s assume that his dad is his brother) why they’re losing and his dad loses it causing little Billy more anguish.

No matter what happened, OU still sucks.
