Mother Jesus

This is how the aforementioned newly minted bishopess of the Episcopal Church USA refers to Messiah. Really I'm not making this up, it's in her homily, click here to get the context of her phrasing. The quote is as follows:

"Our mother Jesus gives birth to a new creation — and you and I are His children. If we're going to keep on growing into Christ-images for the world around us, we're going to have to give up fear."

I'm no theologian, nor do I play one on TV but what comes next? Jesus was really a woman trapped inside a man's body?

I'm guessing that all the Old Testament prophecies regarding Messiah must have intimated that He would be female? Oh wait they don't, they actually speak of Messiah as being male.

If this group is comfortable ripping 1 Timothy 3 out of their Bibles what is else is fair game in the interest of so-called tolerance and diversity?

Back to the subject at hand, yes I'm aware that Jesus refers to Himself as a 'hen' in Mt 23:37, it's called a simile… the figure of speech the good bishopess was angling for suffers from poor choice of words and an irresponsible attempt to appease certain gender obsessed elements w/in her organization (can't get 2 Timothy 4:3-4 out of my head)…
